Sleeper Cave Records has been around since 2013. I built the current iteration of the studio in 2018 along with a group of friends and musicians in Western Mass. The studio is spread across two gorgeous rooms totaling up to over 1600sqft. The rooms are 30ft high with beautiful vaulted ceilings and exposed wood beams. The space consists of a 850sqft tracking room and a 750sqft mixing room with lounge area. The studio also has a small isolation booth (about 75sqft) that can do up to 4 channels of recording or reamping.
My main priority is putting the artist first and I have filled this studio with a large collection of excellent instruments (both vintage and newer) for artists to play with and make amazing music
The studio is centered around a gorgeous 1970s Trident Series 70 console offering 28 microphone inputs with EQs, and a total of 44 channels of mixdown. The preamps are incredibly colorful and vibey sounding, and the EQs are absolute magic, drawing a lot of parallels in their design from the Trident 80 series.
Located 10 minutes outside of Northampton, MA, the studio is situated right next to a beautiful waterfall in a building originally constructed in the late 1800s. The floors are entirely hardwood, and there is ample natural lighting in the space via large windows and skylights.
I offer both in person and remote mixing and production services. Everything from tracking, to overdubs, to mixing and mastering can be handled in house at the studio.
I are also set up for fully remote mixing sessions, streamed via AudioMovers Listento software. You can sign in and listen to the mixes in real time, in full fidelity, as they're being worked on.
